DEI Book Club Thursday, April 6, 2023 7 pm via Zoom The 1895 Segregation Fight in SC by Damon L. Fordham Spartanburg native and Adjunct Professor at The Citadel and Charleston Southern University Read the book and join Damon Fordham via Zoom as he leads our discussion. In this book, Fordham pulls together the speeches of the mostly forgotten black delegates to the 1895 South Carolina Constitutional Convention for us to read. It’s amazing to hear their thoughts 125 years later. Let’s see what we can learn from history to inform our work today. Even if you don't have time to read the book, the discussion will be useful. Note: Damon Fordham spoke at Buxton Books in Charleston last July. You may like to check out this video from that event: https://youtu.be/86mJIn9oERA
