LWV US Position on Natural Resources
As citizens of the world we must protect our planet from the physical, economic and public health effects of climate change while also providing pathways to economic prosperity.
Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection and is designated for fostering appreciation of the earth's environment and awareness of the issues that threaten it. We are asking our members, their families and friends to do litter sweeps in their own neighborhoods and favorite parks during the month of April in honor of Earth Day. See more details at the SC Aquarium. How to participate in Litter Sweep:
Download your litter sweep collection document, either long form or short, and send the results to Darcell Davis-Williams by email. If you don't see an item on the list, just jot it down in the margins.
